Paris, Eurosatory 2026 (Hall 6, Stand C145), 15 June 2026: Firecell, the European provider of critical-communication private 5G networks, and Dfence Europe, the defense integration specialist, today launched three defense-native private 5G solutions, built on Firecell’s Pegasus – Atlas Edition platform.

In contested RF, the solution is not a closed anti-jam box. It detects jamming and interference in real time and gives operators and integrators an open platform to build their own countermeasures. The local network keeps running even when the links to the wider network are degraded.
Open and programmable by design. The radio and core are fully programmable and AI-driven, with band selection, band-swapping, dynamic frequency management and reconfiguration per mission profile. Output power and emissions can be tuned per mission for EMCON discipline, trading coverage for a lower signature when the threat requires it. OEMs and system integrators can inject their own IP directly into the domain. Autonomous detection, developed with the CEA (Commissariat à l’énergie atomique), gives zero-touch identification of intrusion, jamming and interference.
Secure by design. All traffic stays inside the customer’s own network, with no telco or third party in the data path, and encryption and keys are managed by the customer.
Slicing and quality of service. A single network splits into isolated slices, so motion control, ISR video, sensor fusion, safety and command run side by side without clashing. Each slice assigns differentiated QoS per device across the full 3GPP 5QI set, including mission-critical classes (65/67/69/70). Commanders prioritize traffic as the mission changes, ensuring life-critical traffic stays available whatever the conditions.
Performance at the limits of cellular. Measured peak downlink of 1.37 Gbps per radio and URLLC round-trip time of 5.48 ms: enough to carry HD EO/IR video and fuse multiple sensors in real time, a bandwidth narrowband tactical radio cannot reach.
Autonomous in the field. The complete 5G Standalone core, RAN and network management run locally on-site. While connected, the network synchronizes over backhaul; in its absence, it moves back to Autonomous Mode and keeps running fully disconnected. The full stack is hardware-agnostic, runs on any standard server, and reaches operational status in under five minutes with a single operator.
The platform supports Open RAN and operates within NATO and allied spectrum, including the NATO n79 band, alongside 3GPP private bands n77/n78 and public-safety 700 MHz (n28), so forces operate on whatever non-congested spectrum the theatre allows. Frequencies can be reassigned in seconds to deconflict with the theatre spectrum plan and move off congested or jammed bands. Sub-6 GHz radios sustain the link at convoy and low-altitude rotary speeds (above 100 km/h) and across weather, with seamless handover between cells. The platform is 100% European software with EU-made radios, deployed on-site with no foreign company in the path and no external kill switch. Sovereign by design.
Firecell does not replace the layers a force already relies on. It is the high-capacity, low-latency local backbone that ties the force together on-site and interworks with the wider communications plan, fitting a layered PACE posture rather than creating a single point of failure. It aggregates sensors, effectors and robots locally at high throughput, hands off to SATCOM or public networks for reachback when conditions allow, and keeps the local mission running when those upstream links are contested.

The three solutions are qualified and demonstrated, and build on a Firecell platform already in operational service across European critical infrastructure, including ORE Catapult’s offshore wind site, the Smart Mountain network and Paderborn Airport. They are available for trial. Firecell and Dfence Europe are presenting the integrated capability at Eurosatory 2026 (Hall 6, Stand C145).
