Your Role & Responsibilities

The Test and Support Engineer is responsible for providing post-sales support services for the products that are delivered to our customers. He/she is part of the support team and works with the head of support.

The Support Engineer has an important role in the organization being customer interface, ensuring customer issues resolution and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will coordinate various activities with the Head of support, R&D team, and Customers such as: Respond to customer support requests and resolve their incidents/enquiries following the communication channel used (Phone, Mail, Jira Support platform)

  • Help and guide customers using Firecell’s products
  • Define problems, indicate errors and ensure follow-up until resolution
  • Assist customers in data collection to prepare an enquiry for level2 support for
  • the complex cases
  • Replicate and troubleshoot customer scenarios in the Lab.
  • Generate reports describing the customer’s case, root cause and solution
  • Suggest and recommend functional enhancements internally via the used
  • tools
  • Update FAQ pages as part of knowledge sharing for customers and the Firecell internal team

About you – what we are looking for

 Top experiences/skills we will consider are:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in telecommunications/computer science-Electronics and communications
  • You have 3 to 5 years prior experience as a support Engineer for mobile networks and ideally an experience in the Telecommunication Industry
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of management tools like Jira, GitLab, and Jenkins.
  • Hands-on protocol knowledge on one or more of the following
  • LTE/5G RAN (RRC, PDCP, MAC, RLC, etc)
  • CORE protocol stack (NAS, S1AP, GTPC/U and 5G CN interfaces, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with OAI eNB/gNB is an added advantage
  • Experience with usage of QCAT, QXDM, and Amarisoft UE simulator is added advantage
  • Good knowledge of Linux operating systems and CLI commands
  • Very Good experience in C/C++ programming
  • Experience in analyzing logs, and IP captures protocols definition.

  • Native or fluent in English and French will be an advantage
